Here is a portfolio of my work: forward to hearing from you!
I love to work with students passionate about music and piano. I also love working with children and finding ways to bring music into their lives in a fun and joyful way. In recent years I have taught a range of ages from 5 years old all the way to 75 years old both online and face-to-face. I am happy to discuss 30min, 45min and 1 hour sessions depending on your goals and flexibility with schedule.
Lauren is primarily a piano teacher, with extensive experience teaching from beginner to advanced levels of all ages. In recent years, she has also gained experience teaching voice.
She is trained in a variety of genres including classical, jazz and contemporary styles, encouraging students to explore each to develop a well-rounded music education. Alongside this, she puts focus on core musicianship skills such as aural training, theory, sight-reading, technique, improvisation and song-writing.
For the past 5 years, Lauren has also worked as a piano accompanist, working with students who are preparing for examinations on their chosen instruments. In Australia, this has included the Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) exams and Higher School Certificate (HSC) performances. She has also worked accompanying choirs and small vocal ensembles.
