Ιδιαίτερα μαθήματα Ελληνικών ως ξένης γλώσσας online
My name is Irida Karapetsa, and I am a certified teacher. I have been working in education since 2019, teaching Greek as a foreign language mainly to students from China. At the same time, I provide academic support to students following the Greek school curriculum, assisting them with their studies. I also prepare students who wish to take the examinations for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek.
I strive to create a supportive and collaborative learning environment in which students feel confident and motivated. I firmly believe that a strong teacher–student relationship is essential for making learning both creative and enjoyable, while ensuring meaningful progress and the acquisition of essential knowledge.
I have been working in education since 2019, teaching Greek as a foreign language to international students. Some live permanently in Greece and send their children to Greek schools, while others live abroad and wish to learn the Greek language. I also prepare my students for Greek-language certification examinations, enabling them to obtain officially recognized qualifications.
Every learner has different abilities, needs, goals, and a unique pace of learning. Whether I am teaching a child, a teenager, or an adult, I adapt each lesson through a variety of teaching methods. This allows me to understand each student’s individual learning style and provide the support and guidance that suit them best.
I firmly believe that language teaching should be practical and connected to real life. For this reason, my lessons do not focus only on academic vocabulary and formal expressions. I also introduce everyday language and natural expressions that help students communicate confidently, adapt more quickly to a Greek-speaking environment, and connect more easily with the people around them.
For me, teaching is about more than simply sharing knowledge. It is also about creating a meaningful connection with the student and inspiring a genuine love of learning. My goal is for every lesson—whether for school support, language learning, or exam preparation—to be associated with confidence, creativity, enjoyment, and personal growth rather than pressure or obligation.
